Kolstad Insurance Services is committed to making kolstadins.com usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of how this site is built and maintained, not as a one time project.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means semantic HTML so headings, lists and landmarks are announced in a sensible order; every form field tied to a visible label; text and background colors chosen for contrast; visible focus outlines so keyboard users can see where they are; alternative text on images that carry meaning; and layouts that still work when text is scaled up or the page is viewed on a phone. New pages are checked against these points before they go live, and we recheck existing pages when we revise them.
Where we know we have work left
Two things sit outside what we control. Some pages embed third party content, such as the Google map on our contact page, and our carrier partners host their own billing, ID card and claims portals under their own accessibility policies. We test what we build ourselves and we report problems to those vendors, but we cannot make the same promise for content served from another company. If one of those tools stops you, call us and we will finish the task with you rather than sending you back to it.
There is always another way to get it done
Nothing on this website is the only route to us or to your policy. Quotes, policy changes, ID cards, certificates of insurance, billing questions and claims reporting can all be handled by phone, by email, or in person at our Jacksonville office. If you need a document in large print or read aloud to you, ask and we will get it to you that way. Se Habla Español, so you can work with us in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.

If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, we want to know, and we will help you directly in the meantime. Call or text 910-378-1378, or email office@kolstadins.com. It helps if you can tell us the page you were on, the device or assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We answer the same business day, Monday through Friday, and we will tell you what we are fixing.
